CARGATE D-860 Rotary Veneer Lathe, Heavy Duty: -- Built specifically to handle large diameter logs as well as small logs. It has a log length capacity of an easy 8'-6" and a diameter capacity of up to 5', peeling down to perfect 4" cores for optimal log utilization. -- This moneymaker looks like a big brother to a Premier Lathe. It comes complete with beefy Bull Gears and boasts plenty of output capacity along with the following main features and components:Specifications: -- BRUNETTE MACHINE WORKS Hydraulic Retractable Spindles - 4" inner, 8" and 11" outer. These are the same spindles as are utilized on a Premier Lathe. -- The spindles are driven by angle-cut 72" diameter Oil-Bath Bull Gears. (This is actually identical to an upgrade to Premier lathes still running.) -- Factory Hydraulic Backup Roll. (This backup roll rides on adjustable rollers riding down on top of the carriage. This prevents backup roll from pushing excessively hard against the core. It produces perfect 4" cores).Equipped with: -- DURAND Charger and Pumps (self centering). -- Factory Log Deck - Complete with S-drive and Gearbox. -- Factory Air Trash Gate, Infeed Conveyor (infeed to chipper).
