James Savage Purchases Tri-State Auction & Realty

James Savage, owner of Southern Rigging Service and son of the late John Kimbel Jr., acquired Tri-State Auction & Realty, LLC of Kingston, Tennessee from owners John Kimbel Jr. and Sandra White effective January 1, 2017. For the past twenty five years James has been an integral part of the Tri-State Auction family management team that set the standard for professionalism and honesty in forest industry liquidations. Serving as assistant auctioneer, supervising pre-auction set up and post-auction equipment removal James has become one of the industry’s most trusted and knowledgeable auction and equipment professionals.

Savage stated, “My number one goal for Tri-State Auction is to continue the tradition of honesty and integrity that the previous two generations began”. According to Savage the core business model will not change. Tri-State will continue to provide its customers with individual item brokerage services, complete orderly plant liquidations, certified appraisals and of course the best on-site auction service in the forest products industry.
