Slab surfacers are designed for planing and sanding any large surfaces such as, but not limited to, table tops, countertops, fireplace mantels, and timbers and are exactly the same except the width. the SS-96 can be used on the 96” ground bed track and planes up to 96” wide surfaces. Both come with 35HP gas Briggs VanGuard engine that powers a direct-drive double hydraulic pump to power the machine. This is a rugged heavy duty machine for the serious woodworker. Comes standard with cutter head and an extra set of carbide inserts and sanding head with 10 pieces of sandpaper. Can also be used on concrete slab track if customer builds their own slab holding and clamping table. The dust collection blower kit will increase the production of these machines. Does not include track or power feed roller chains.

This slab surfacer is the same as GSS-70 gas engine powered surfacer, except they are powered by a 30HP 3-phase techtop electric motor available in 460 or 230 volt. Comes standard with start-stop switch to mount on surfacer, 50’ of wire between motor, and soft start mounted in a safety disconnect enclosure. The dust collection kit will increase production of these machines. There is no price difference between 460 & 230 volt. Does not include track or power feed roller chains.
