Multiple machines can be connected to a single FX collector. The following example shows several machines connected to FX15-5000.Each machine can be isolated by a slide gate when not in use. If machines 1 & 2 total 4,500CFM when they are in use, the sensor will request the Cruise Control software in the VFD to run the fan motor at the required speed to exhaust exactly 4,500CFM. The motor will in this case run at 55.9Hz and consume 11 HP. If machine (4) starts and machine (2) shuts down, then the exhaust requirement drops to 2,200CFM.The Cruise Control will now request the fan motor to spool down to 55Hz and the power consumption drops to 8.6HP. In this way the fan speed and power consumption will automatically be adjusted at all times to match the actual requirement.
