DUST-EX AG22 Abort Gate/Valve.... Automated two-way air stream diverter valve which prevents fires and explosions in dust collection systems and reduces the risk of fire in explosive prone work environments. A "safety measure essential" when clean air is returned to a building. -- Consists of: A lever arm that automatically directs a flapper damper in two different directions. -- Normal Position: The damper stays in a horizontal position (open) allowing the air stream to be directed/returned to the building -- Abort Mode: In the event of a spark originating upstream of an outside dust collector, a Spark Detection Sensor positioned in the air stream inside the building, sends a signal to de-energize an electro-magnetically controlled latch.The flap of the valve is very quickly switched to the abort/second position (closed) thereby diverting the explosion pressure/air stream to the atmosphere.
